CVE-2026-115484: Open-iscsi: open-iscsi: dhcpv4 option parser heap out-of-bounds read in iscsiuio parse_msg
Noroxi assessment
Priority: Monitor (action score 30/100)
- The sources we track (CISA KEV, Exploit-DB, Metasploit, Nuclei, GitHub) show no public exploit code or exploitation in the wild.
- Probability of exploitation in the next 30 days: 0.22% (FIRST EPSS).
- Someone on the same network segment can trigger it. No account or password is required. No user action is required. No special conditions are required; it is repeatable.
- Fixed version: azl3 iscsi-initiator-utils 2.1.12-1 on Azure Linux 3.0 Release Notes.
Low priority for now. Upgrade to azl3 iscsi-initiator-utils 2.1.12-1 on Azure Linux 3.0 Release Notes or later.
Generated automatically from the record's data: CVSS (NVD and CNA), CISA KEV and SSVC, FIRST EPSS, exploit sources, fixed versions. How we calculate it
Primary sources: NVD · CVE.org · FIRST EPSS
A flaw was found in the iscsiuio component of open-iscsi. The DHCPv4 option parser incorrectly calculates the length of the options data, causing it to read beyond the allocated buffer into adjacent heap memory. An attacker on the same network segment can send a crafted DHCP response to crash the daemon or corrupt its network configuration.
