CVE-2026-22200: osTicket (1.18.x < 1.18.3, 1.17.x < 1.17.7) PDF Export Arbitrary File Read
Noroxi assessment
Priority: This week (action score 60/100)
- A ready-made attack module is public (Metasploit, Nuclei); exploiting it takes no special expertise.
- A ready-made attack tool exists and the flaw can be exploited over the network without an account, so priority is at least “This week”.
- Probability of exploitation in the next 30 days: 73.5% (FIRST EPSS); higher than 99.4% of all records.
- Anyone who can reach it over the internet can trigger it. No account or password is required. No user action is required. No special conditions are required; it is repeatable.
- According to CISA the attack is automatable: targets can be found by mass scanning.
- Fixed version: Enhancesoft osTicket 1.17.7, 1.18.3.
Don’t wait for the next maintenance window. Upgrade to Enhancesoft osTicket 1.17.7, 1.18.3 or later.

Primary sources: NVD · CVE.org · FIRST EPSS
Enhancesoft osTicket versions 1.18.x prior to 1.18.3 and 1.17.x prior to 1.17.7 contain an arbitrary file read vulnerability in the ticket PDF export functionality. A remote attacker can submit a ticket containing crafted rich-text HTML that includes PHP filter expressions which are insufficiently sanitized before being processed by the mPDF PDF generator during export. When the attacker exports the ticket to PDF, the generated PDF can embed the contents of attacker-selected files from the server filesystem as bitmap images, allowing disclosure of sensitive local files in the context of the osTicket application user. This issue is exploitable in default configurations where guests may create tickets and access ticket status, or where self-registration is enabled.
