CVE-2026-1536: Libsoup: libsoup: http header injection or response splitting via crlf injection in content-disposition header
Noroxi assessment
Priority: Monitor (action score 21/100)
- The sources we track (CISA KEV, Exploit-DB, Metasploit, Nuclei, GitHub) show no public exploit code or exploitation in the wild.
- Probability of exploitation in the next 30 days: 0.34% (FIRST EPSS).
- Anyone who can reach it over the internet can trigger it. No account or password is required. No user action is required. No special conditions are required; it is repeatable.
- According to CISA the attack is automatable: targets can be found by mass scanning.
- Fixed version: libsoup (openSUSE:Leap 15.6) 3.4.4-150600.3.31.1; libsoup (openSUSE:Leap 16.0) 3.6.5-160000.4.1; libsoup (openSUSE:Tumbleweed) 3.6.5-12.1.
Low priority for now. Upgrade to libsoup (openSUSE:Leap 15.6) 3.4.4-150600.3.31.1; libsoup (openSUSE:Leap 16.0) 3.6.5-160000.4.1; libsoup (openSUSE:Tumbleweed) 3.6.5-12.1 or later.
Generated automatically from the record's data: CVSS (NVD and CNA), CISA KEV and SSVC, FIRST EPSS, exploit sources, fixed versions. How we calculate it
Primary sources: NVD · CVE.org · FIRST EPSS
A flaw was found in libsoup. An attacker who can control the input for the Content-Disposition header can inject CRLF (Carriage Return Line Feed) sequences into the header value. These sequences are then interpreted verbatim when the HTTP request or response is constructed, allowing arbitrary HTTP headers to be injected. This vulnerability can lead to HTTP header injection or HTTP response splitting without requiring authentication or user interaction.
