CVE-2026-8924: trailing dot domain super cookie
Noroxi assessment
Priority: Monitor (action score 36/100)
- The sources we track (CISA KEV, Exploit-DB, Metasploit, Nuclei, GitHub) show no public exploit code or exploitation in the wild.
- Probability of exploitation in the next 30 days: 0.66% (FIRST EPSS); higher than 51.7% of all records.
- Anyone who can reach it over the internet can trigger it. No account or password is required. No user action is required. No special conditions are required; it is repeatable.
- According to CISA the attack is automatable: targets can be found by mass scanning.
- Fixed version: curl curl 51beed175dbfc37da3113f6acce60c630c070ce8, 8.14.2, 8.16.1.
Low priority for now. Upgrade to curl curl 51beed175dbfc37da3113f6acce60c630c070ce8, 8.14.2, 8.16.1 or later.

Primary sources: NVD · CVE.org · FIRST EPSS
A flaw in curl’s cookie parsing logic allows a malicious HTTP server to set "super cookies" that bypass the Public Suffix List check. This enables an attacker-controlled origin to inject cookies that curl subsequently scopes and transmits to unrelated third-party domains.
