Noroxi assessment
Priority: Monitor (action score 26/100)
- The sources we track (CISA KEV, Exploit-DB, Metasploit, Nuclei, GitHub) show no public exploit code or exploitation in the wild.
- Probability of exploitation in the next 30 days: 0.29% (FIRST EPSS).
- Someone with local access to the system can trigger it. A low-privileged account is enough. No user action is required. No special conditions are required; it is repeatable.
- Fixed version: hivex (AlmaLinux:8) 1.3.18-23.module_el8.6.0+3161+a07c0ea5, 1.3.18-23.module_el8.6.0+2880+7d9e3703; hivex-devel (AlmaLinux:8) 1.3.18-23.module_el8.6.0+3161+a07c0ea5, 1.3.18-23.module_el8.6.0+2880+7d9e3703; libguestfs (AlmaLinux:8) 1:1.44.0-9.module_el8.7.0+3346+68867adb.alma.

Primary sources: NVD · CVE.org · FIRST EPSS
An out-of-bounds read flaw was found in the QXL display device emulation in QEMU. The qxl_phys2virt() function does not check the size of the structure pointed to by the guest physical address, potentially reading past the end of the bar space into adjacent pages. A malicious guest user could use this flaw to crash the QEMU process on the host causing a denial of service condition.
