Noroxi assessment
Priority: This week (action score 68/100)
- CISA has confirmed exploitation in the wild (May 27, 2026); it is known to be used in ransomware campaigns. Remediation deadline for US federal agencies: Jun 10, 2026.
- Probability of exploitation in the next 30 days: 1% (FIRST EPSS); higher than 63.7% of all records.
- Anyone who can reach it over the internet can trigger it. No account or password is required. A user must open a link or visit a page. No special conditions are required; it is repeatable.
- Fixed version: @tanstack/arktype-adapter (npm) 1.166.16; @tanstack/eslint-plugin-router (npm) 1.161.13; @tanstack/eslint-plugin-start (npm) 0.0.8.
- Mentioned 1 time in Turkish national cyber security advisories (siberguvenlik.gov.tr).
Don’t wait for the next maintenance window. Upgrade to @tanstack/arktype-adapter (npm) 1.166.16; @tanstack/eslint-plugin-router (npm) 1.161.13; @tanstack/eslint-plugin-start (npm) 0.0.8 or later.
Generated automatically from the record's data: CVSS (NVD and CNA), CISA KEV and SSVC, FIRST EPSS, exploit sources, fixed versions. How we calculate it
Primary sources: NVD · CVE.org · CISA KEV · FIRST EPSS
On 2026-05-11, between approximately 19:20 and 19:26 UTC, 84 malicious versions across 42 @tanstack/* packages were published to the npm registry. The publishes were authenticated via the legitimate GitHub Actions OIDC trusted-publisher binding for TanStack/router, but the publish workflow itself was not modified. The attacker chained three known vulnerability classes — a pull_request_target "Pwn Request" misconfiguration, GitHub Actions cache poisoning across the fork↔base trust boundary, and runtime memory extraction of the OIDC token from the Actions runner process — to publish credential-stealing malware under a trusted identity. Each affected package received exactly two malicious versions, published a few minutes apart.
