CVE-2026-3832: Gnutls: gnutls: security bypass allows acceptance of revoked server certificates via crafted ocsp response
Noroxi assessment
Priority: Monitor (action score 14/100)
- The sources we track (CISA KEV, Exploit-DB, Metasploit, Nuclei, GitHub) show no public exploit code or exploitation in the wild.
- Probability of exploitation in the next 30 days: 0.80% (FIRST EPSS); higher than 56.6% of all records.
- Anyone who can reach it over the internet can trigger it. No account or password is required. No user action is required. Special conditions such as timing or configuration are required.
- Fixed version: gitlab.com/gnutls/gnutls gnutls 3.8.13; azl3 gnutls 3.8.3-11 on Azure Linux 3.0 3.8.3-11; azl3 gnutls 3.8.3-8 on Azure Linux 3.0 3.8.3-10.
- Mentioned 1 time in Turkish national cyber security advisories (siberguvenlik.gov.tr).
Low priority for now. Upgrade to gitlab.com/gnutls/gnutls gnutls 3.8.13; azl3 gnutls 3.8.3-11 on Azure Linux 3.0 3.8.3-11; azl3 gnutls 3.8.3-8 on Azure Linux 3.0 3.8.3-10 or later.
Generated automatically from the record's data: CVSS (NVD and CNA), CISA KEV and SSVC, FIRST EPSS, exploit sources, fixed versions. How we calculate it
Primary sources: NVD · CVE.org · FIRST EPSS
A flaw was found in gnutls. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by presenting a specially crafted Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) response during a TLS handshake. Due to a logic error in how gnutls processes multi-record OCSP responses, a client with OCSP verification enabled may incorrectly accept a revoked server certificate, potentially leading to a compromise of trust.
