CVE-2026-29110: Cryptomator: Leaking of cleartext paths into log file in non-debug mode
Noroxi assessment
Priority: Monitor (action score 21/100)
- The sources we track (CISA KEV, Exploit-DB, Metasploit, Nuclei, GitHub) show no public exploit code or exploitation in the wild.
- Probability of exploitation in the next 30 days: 0.14% (FIRST EPSS).
- Anyone who can reach it over the internet can trigger it. No account or password is required. No user action is required. No special conditions are required; it is repeatable.
- Fixed version: cryptomator cryptomator 1.19.0.
- Severity is disputed: the assigning authority (CNA) scores it 2.2, NVD 5.3.
Low priority for now. Upgrade to cryptomator cryptomator 1.19.0 or later.
Generated automatically from the record's data: CVSS (NVD and CNA), CISA KEV and SSVC, FIRST EPSS, exploit sources, fixed versions. How we calculate it
Primary sources: NVD · CVE.org · FIRST EPSS
Cryptomator encrypts data being stored on cloud infrastructure. Prior to version 1.19.0, in non-debug mode Cryptomator might leak cleartext paths into the log file. This can reveal meta information about the files stored inside a vault at a time, where the actual vault is closed. Not every cleartext path is logged. Only if a filesystem request fails for some reason (e.g. damaged encrypted file, not existing file), a log message is created. This issue has been patched in version 1.19.0.
