Event-driven-ansible: event stream test mode exposes sensitive headers in aap eda
Noroxi assessment
Priority: Monitor (action score 26/100)
- The sources we track (CISA KEV, Exploit-DB, Metasploit, Nuclei, GitHub) show no public exploit code or exploitation in the wild.
- Probability of exploitation in the next 30 days: 0.17% (FIRST EPSS).
- Someone with local access to the system can trigger it. Administrator privileges are required. No user action is required. No special conditions are required; it is repeatable.
- Fixed version: ansible-builder (Red Hat:ansible_automation_platform_developer:2.5::el8) 0:3.1.1-1.el8ap; ansible-creator (Red Hat:ansible_automation_platform_developer:2.5::el8) 0:25.12.0-1.el8ap; ansible-dev-environment (Red Hat:ansible_automation_platform_developer:2.5::el8) 0:25.12.2-1.1.el8ap.

Generated automatically from the record's data: CVSS (NVD and CNA), CISA KEV and SSVC, FIRST EPSS, exploit sources, fixed versions. How we calculate it
A flaw was found in the Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, Event-Driven Ansible (EDA) Event Stream API. This vulnerability allows exposure of sensitive client credentials and internal infrastructure headers via the test_headers field when an event stream is in test mode. The possible outcome includes leakage of internal infrastructure details, accidental disclosure of user or system credentials, privilege escalation if high-value tokens are exposed, and persistent sensitive data exposure to all users with read access on the event stream.
