CVE-2026-4775· NVD / CVE Program· CNA redhat

Libtiff: libtiff: arbitrary code execution or denial of service via signed integer overflow in tiff file processing

Noroxi assessment

Priority: Monitor (action score 31/100)

  • The sources we track (CISA KEV, Exploit-DB, Metasploit, Nuclei, GitHub) show no public exploit code or exploitation in the wild.
  • Probability of exploitation in the next 30 days: 0.55% (FIRST EPSS).
  • Someone with local access to the system can trigger it. No account or password is required. A user must open a link or visit a page. No special conditions are required; it is repeatable.
  • Fixed version: azl3 libtiff 4.6.0-12 on Azure Linux 3.0 4.6.0-13; cbl2 libtiff 4.6.0-12 on CBL Mariner 2.0 4.6.0-13; cbl2 libtiff 4.6.0-12 on CBL-Mariner 2.0 4.6.0-13.

Low priority for now. Upgrade to azl3 libtiff 4.6.0-12 on Azure Linux 3.0 4.6.0-13; cbl2 libtiff 4.6.0-12 on CBL Mariner 2.0 4.6.0-13; cbl2 libtiff 4.6.0-12 on CBL-Mariner 2.0 4.6.0-13 or later.

Generated automatically from the record's data: CVSS (NVD and CNA), CISA KEV and SSVC, FIRST EPSS, exploit sources, fixed versions. How we calculate it

Primary sources: NVD · CVE.org · FIRST EPSS

A flaw was found in the libtiff library. A remote attacker could exploit a signed integer overflow vulnerability in the putcontig8bitYCbCr44tile function by providing a specially crafted TIFF file. This flaw can lead to an out-of-bounds heap write due to incorrect memory pointer calculations, potentially causing a denial of service (application crash) or arbitrary code execution.
