Tyler Technologies Court Case Management Plus use of Aquaforest TIFF Server te003.aspx and te004.aspx allows authentication bypass
Noroxi assessment
Priority: Monitor (action score 21/100)
- The sources we track (CISA KEV, Exploit-DB, Metasploit, Nuclei, GitHub) show no public exploit code or exploitation in the wild.
- Probability of exploitation in the next 30 days: 0.93% (FIRST EPSS); higher than 60% of all records.
- Anyone who can reach it over the internet can trigger it. No account or password is required. No user action is required. No special conditions are required; it is repeatable.
- According to CISA the attack is automatable: targets can be found by mass scanning.
- According to the record, no fixed version is available yet.
Low priority for now. Update when a fix is released; follow the vendor's advisory.

Tyler Technologies Court Case Management Plus allows a remote, unauthenticated attacker to enumerate directories using the tiffserver/te003.aspx or te004.aspx 'ifolder' parameter. This behavior is related to the use of a deprecated version of Aquaforest TIFF Server, possibly 2.x. The vulnerable Aquaforest TIFF Server feature was removed on or around 2023-11-01. Insecure configuration issues in Aquaforest TIFF Server are identified separately as CVE-2023-6352. CVE-2023-6343 is related to or partially caused by CVE-2023-6352.

Root cause
Authentication is added route by route instead of being enforced in one place. When a route added later bypasses the shared middleware, the session check never runs for it.
