Pgadmin4: remote code execution by an authenticated user
Noroxi assessment
Priority: Monitor (action score 36/100)
- The sources we track (CISA KEV, Exploit-DB, Metasploit, Nuclei, GitHub) show no public exploit code or exploitation in the wild.
- Probability of exploitation in the next 30 days: 1.7% (FIRST EPSS); higher than 77.9% of all records.
- Anyone who can reach it over the internet can trigger it. A low-privileged account is enough. No user action is required. No special conditions are required; it is repeatable.
- Fixed version: pgadmin4 (openSUSE:Tumbleweed) 7.8-1.1; pgadmin4 (PyPI) 7.7.
- Severity is disputed: the assigning authority (CNA) scores it 6.0, NVD 8.8.
Low priority for now. Upgrade to pgadmin4 (openSUSE:Tumbleweed) 7.8-1.1; pgadmin4 (PyPI) 7.7 or later.

Primary sources: NVD · CVE.org · FIRST EPSS
A flaw was found in pgAdmin. This issue occurs when the pgAdmin server HTTP API validates the path a user selects to external PostgreSQL utilities such as pg_dump and pg_restore. Versions of pgAdmin prior to 7.6 failed to properly control the server code executed on this API, allowing an authenticated user to run arbitrary commands on the server.
